#WestFestChicago @WestFestChicago

West Fest Chicago is an annual street festival held in Chicago’s West Town Community on Chicago Avenue between Damen Avenue and Wood Street presented by the West Town Chamber of Commerce. West Fest Chicago began in 2004 and has since grown into one of Chicago’s most popular and well attended street festivals. In 2020 due to COVID, West Fest Chicago went virtual #WestFestChicagoAtHome.

What makes West Fest Chicago so unique? The festival stands out because it is locally planned and managed by the West Town Chamber of Commerce, thus the emphasis is on local offerings and talent. West Fest Chicago presents neighborhood retailers and restaurants, plus local fine artists and makers as vendors. The event also features Pet Fest with dog activities for charity, and Kid Fest with family activities and live entertainment, and more.

West Fest Chicago reflects the eclectic West Town community, and is also renown for cutting edge live music programmed by Empty Bottle Presents, plus the ever popular West Fest Chicago House DJ stage.

There is a $10 suggested donation to attend West Fest Chicago. Proceeds benefit the West Town Chamber of Commerce, a local 501 C6 providing valuable programs and services for the small businesses in West Town Chicago.

Held every year on the first full weekend in June, the 57th Street Art Fair is a two-day outdoor celebration of the visual arts held in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, adjacent to the University of Chicago campus and the home of President Barack Obama. Artists and art lovers reunite at Chicago's oldest juried art fair in the Midwest, featuring the work of up to 200 exhibitors. Most are returning artists, but each year between 50 and 75 new exhibitors are invited to participate by a jury made up of collectors, critics, curators and artists.

The goal of the 57th Street Art Fair is to provide a venue for creators of quality fine art and fine craft to meet with the art-buying public. Whether you are looking for glass, jewelry, leather, photography, printmaking, painting, sculpture, digital arts, wood, ceramics or fiber — you are sure to find something special at this one-of-a-kind event.

Twenty chefs will try their hand at ramen and you’ll have the chance to taste them all and vote for your favorite. The event will include a sampling of each ramen and two drink tickets. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Inspiration Kitchens, a non-profit organization that helps people who are affected by homelessness and poverty to improve their lives and increase self-sufficiency through the provision of social services, employment training and placement, and housing.
