Modern meets old world in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village. Located within the West Town neighborhood, you’ll find a residential community that still reflects the German, Polish and Ukrainian immigrants who settled in the area in the 1800s and early 1900s while also boasting a number of hip eateries, bars and boutiques pop up along Division Street, Chicago Avenue and Damen Avenue.
While not as trendy as neighboring Bucktown and Wicker Park, that’s one of its charms. Here you’ll find access to dozen of restaurants, eclectic shops, art galleries & nightlife in neighboring Wicker Park while its roots and culture are still evident today in the community’s Ukrainian National Museum, Ukrainian Cultural Center, historic churches and festivals including the annual Ukrainian Village Festival.
