30 Day Challenge

Hello from home! It’s April, and like most of you, I’m spending this month hiding away in my humble abode. Trying new things & keeping myself busy have kept me (mostly) sane over the past few weeks, so I figured I would challenge myself to accomplish a different thing everyday. From building a fort to trying a new recipe, I’m trying all the things and would love if you joined in. We’re all in this together, and we’ll all get through this together.

To make things fun, I’m hosting a big weekly challenge where you’ll have a chance to win a $50 gift card to your favorite local restaurant!

April 1 - Reach out to someone.

Whether it’s a quick text telling someone you’re thinking about them or an hour long FaceTime call, reach out to someone you haven’t seen in a while.

April 2 - Meditate for 10 minutes (or longer if you can!)

Set the timer on your phone & see how long you can go. Never meditated before? Check out these tips.

April 3 - Organize your drawers & cabinets

Even if it’s just one drawer or cabinet, you can still say you accomplished something!

April 4 - Try a new recipe (CHALLENGE DAY)

You can cook anything as long as it’s something new for you! Never made spaghetti with meatballs before? Now’s your chance! You want to try making a gourmet filet mignon…do it!

I’ll pick my favorite dish & the winner will receive a $50 gift card to their favorite local restaurant!

April 5 - At home workout

A 15 minute workout is better than no work out.

April 6- Make the bed

To make the bed or not make the bed…that you’re going to unmake anyways just to go to sleep. Today, we’re going to do the adult thing & make the bed.

April 7- Support a local business

We all know local businesses & restaurants are struggling right now, so let’s support our community!

  5. Schedule a service for later

April 8 - Clean out your inbox

Unsubscribe from those emails you didn’t want anyways, and get those unread messages down to zero.

April 9 - Send a note to someone

Grab a pen & paper and send someone some love. I don’t know about you, but nowadays, getting the mail is one of the highlights of my day.

April 10 - Listen to a new podcast

Did you hear I launched Sip + Learn online this month?!!

April 11 - Build a fort (CHALLENGE DAY)

Ya’ll ready for this? Grab your extra sheets & blankets—we’re building some forts.

April 12 - Write down 3 things your grateful for

Let’s be real…it’s hard af to stay positive some days, so let’s acknowledge the good. Maybe you’re grateful for your pet’s company during this time (the snuggles, am I right?!). Maybe you’re grateful for Netflix. Just take some time to write down what you’re grateful for.

April 13 - Start that one project you keep putting off

If you’re like me, you have a laundry list of things you’ve been dreaming of doing. So, just do it!

April 14 - Listen to new music

I’m sharing what’s keeping you movin & groovin & what' I’m listening to today.

April 15 - Clean out the fridge

Today, I threw out something that expired back in December of 2019. Plus who knows what’s in the freezer. I think it’s time to deep clean that bad boy.

April 16 - Try something new

It can be anything…anything at all. Have you always wanted to do a headstand? Maybe you should reconsider trying that one, but at the same time I kind of want to see you try.

April 17 - Do a puzzle

Whether it’s a jigsaw puzzle, a crossword puzzle, or anything in between, let’s do it!

April 18 - Brunch in Bed/Picnic in bed (CHALLENGE DAY)

This is one of those things that happens in movies…and I’ve always wanted to do it in real life. So, here we are.

I’ll pick my favorite photo of your comfy meal & the winner will receive a $50 gift card to their favorite local restaurant!

April 19 - Relax

I don’t know about you, but somedays, I just need a day to myself. You can find me lounging on the couch listening to records & podcasts.

April 20 - Dress up for your day

Sweatpants are life, but I’ve been feeling myself when I dress up & get ready for my day. I’m not saying you have to wear jeans, but let’s take on the day as our best selves.

April 21 - Sort through your purse, backpack or daily bag

…I already know I’m going to be ashamed of myself while doing this.

April 22 - Update your resume

I’m a firm believer that you should update your resume regularly, so why not do it now?

April 23 - Take an online class

Between Skillshare & Masterclass there are plenty of opportunities for you to learn a new nugget of information today!

April 24 - Candlelight yoga

After a long week, relax with some candlelight yoga.

April 25 - Celebrate a holiday (CHALLENGE DAY)

One of my clients has celebrated a different holiday every week. So far, they’ve celebrated Halloween and Thanksgiving, and it’s cracked me up. So, it’s your turn!

April 26 - Take a YOU day

Give yourself permission to take care of you. Do a face mask. Take those extra five minutes in the shower. Eat that other cookie. You deserve it.

April 27 - Write down 3 goals

A lot has changed & a lot hasn’t. Either way, it’s still great to have goals. They give us something to strive for. For some of you, it will be to just get through this next week. For others, you’re dreaming about a new business you want to start. What do you want to accomplish?

April 28 - Free up phone space

Between the screenshots & unused apps, I think it’s time to get some of that space back. Plus, you might save yourself some money by unsubscribing to those unnecessary apps!

April 29 - Watch your favorite movie

Do I watch the Matrix or Garden State…maybe I’ll watch a Vin Diesel Movie (Guardians of the Galaxy counts right?). It’ll be a tough call. If you’ve watched your favorite movie too many times to count over these past few weeks, feel free to watch something new! Preferably something that’ll make you laugh or smile. Tiger King doesn’t count.

April 30 - Do something that makes you happy

We’ve made it this far! Do something you love. Do something for you.

If you’re an over achiever, try reading 10 pages of a book every day! I’ll be reading a book my father lent me — Awaken the Giant Within by Tony Robins.
