Inside 1000M

BEAUTY IS A JOURNEY. AND THE JOURNEY BEGINS AT 1000M.

I recently had the opportunity to step inside 1000M’s sales gallery & clearly, I had no issues with making myself at home.

Greeted with beautiful sleek designs & a fresh perspective, I’m impressed with Chicago’s newest address—1000 S Michigan Avenue (1000M for short). Breaking ground next week, 1000M is situated directly across from Grant Park and is within walking distance to almost everything a person could ever need. This latest development is expected to deliver by mid-2021.

The soon-to-be 421-unit skyscraper is designed by world-renowned architect Helmut Jahn and local design icon Kara Mann, and it’s also one of the few new construction condominium buildings in Chicago. Residences range from studios (starting at $340k for the International Collection) to four-bedroom penthouses (The 71st floor penthouse is asking $8.1M) and offer beautiful designs and dramatic Lake and city views for everyone from the work-from-home creative to the family on the go. And, in case the view is a deal breaker, don’t worry. There is an interactive floor to ceiling screen to show you the view from a unit.

Contemporary high-end finishes, hand-selected by Mann, include Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, custom kitchen and bath cabinetry, book-matched stone backsplashes, lavish bath fixtures, hardwood flooring & more.

With relatively low HOA dues, I was surprised to see that 1000M features an incomparable array of amenities worth boasting about:

  • 40,000 Sq Ft Outdoor & Indoor Space

  • Music Conservatory

  • Library

  • Spa

  • Meditation Room

  • Fitness Center

  • Entertainment Floor

  • Outdoor Pool

  • Gardens

  • Demonstration Kitchen

  • Private Dining Room

  • Wine Room

  • Winter Garden

  • Sky Terrace

I can’t wait to show you the finished product! Follow along on the journey

To learn more about the building, visit 1000M’s website, and if you’d like to tour the sales gallery, let me know! I’d love to show you around.

SOUTH LOOP LIVING

South Loop offers one of the most unique neighborhood experiences in Chicago. Filled with a diverse landscape, you’ll find sleek high-rise buildings juxtaposed with quintessential family-filled parks. The area continues to evolve and is in the midst of a major transformation with residential construction booming.

The vibrant neighborhood is known for its access to the lakefront, shops, restaurants, parks, Museum Campus and The Loop. Residents also enjoy being in close proximity to Northerly Island and public transportation including the CTA’s Roosevelt station.

The South Loop’s housing boom has brought with it an influx of retailers along with eateries and nightlife on South Michigan Avenue. The Roosevelt Collection is a popular destination featuring a movie theater and an assortment of retailers.
